Who is Adam Jones?
He is the guy that beat us. A Grand Slam and a triple for Jones pretty doomed the Yanks along with a strong pitching performance of Jeremy Guthrie as the Orioles whooped the Yankees 13-4.
The “Moose”, Mike Mussina, just didn’t have it. In Mussina’s last outing on Wednesday against the Twins he was very effective. Not today. Kevin Millar and Ramon Hernandez did damage. For Mussina this was a rarity as he didn’t get into the sixth inning for the first time since May.
Johnny Damon was the only one to have a multi-hit game along with 3 of the 4 RBI’s. Giambi whiffed twice.
The O’s are in last place but are 6-4 vs the Yankees this year.
Bernie come back and say good-bye, please?
Bernie Williams was the Yankees’ starting centerfielder from 1993 to 2005 and got shoved out by a better player.
Don’t be such a baby. Baseball is a business and it is not personal. Don’t pout. Just come back to Yankee Stadium, where you gave us thrills and chills with your talent and let us give you a rousing cheer for what you help the team accomplish. You deserve it.
The Yankees invited to participate in a game on Aug 2 for Oldtimers but he had a vacation planned and said he couldn’t attend.
Ok, so you’re busy once. After all you are retired.
He was invited to pull the lever for the countdown but declined that too.
We aren’t going to continue to beg. Do it this year in YOUR stadium.
